Things to know about your stay at Boathouses
Access to toilet and shower:
Bathroom and toilet:
- You have received a 6-digit code by email that gives you access to showers and toilets in the bathhouses at the lagoon.
- You can also use the service building behind Cafe Isbåden, where there is more space and double showers.
Outdoor facilities:
- An outdoor urinal is located behind the waste site.
- A toilet shed for night use is available within the environmental station. This toilet is for Boathouse guests only and can be unlocked with the key on the table.
Remember:
- The 6-digit code is for the bathhouses at the lagoon.
- The key on the table is for the toilet shed in the environmental station.
Making up a bed at the dining area in the Boathouse
- Remove cushions and bedding: Start by removing all cushions from the bench and place the two small cushions under it. Then pick up the mattress topper, mattress pad, duvets and pillows.
- Lower the table: Pull the handle under the tabletop to lower the table frame. Follow the tabletop down slowly and quietly.
- Prepare the bed: Place the two large cushions on the lowered table top and place the top mattress on top and make the bed.
To ensure a comfortable temperature in your boathouse, a small electric radiator is mounted on the wall. This radiator provides efficient heating of the room.
Should you need additional heat, there is also a small fan heater under the table that you can connect.
Please note that the electric radiator is the primary heat source and the fan heater should only be used as a supplement.
- Under the benches: You’ll find spacious storage spaces under the benches, perfect for storing blankets, pillows, games and other equipment you might need during your stay.
- Under the bed: Use the practical storage space under the bed to store suitcases, bags or other large items you want to keep out of sight.
- Hooks for outerwear: 2 hooks are available for hanging jackets, coats and hats.
If you want to cook your own food, you are welcome to use the sailor’s lounge.
There’s a hob, microwave, large fridge, all cookware, plates, glasses, cutlery and more.
A washing machine is available in the sailors’ lounge for guests who want to do laundry.
The price is 30 kr. per wash.
Where can I park? Handbjerg Marina offers paid parking for guests.
How do I pay for parking? A parking ticket is available in the Boathouses. You need to place this ticket visibly on your car’s dashboard.
